The Town of Woodstock held a Food Drive at the Town Hall to benefit TEEG and Daily Bread on Election Day, November 6, 2007. Delpha Very, who is a member of the TEEG Board, reported that approximately 900 items and $385 in checks and cash were donated. TEEG gives a total of 280 bags of food annually to Woodstock residents alone, and over $4,000 in fuel assistance to our neighbors. Daily Bread and TEEG requests are up about 40% compared to this time last year, so these items will come in very handy. Pantry shelves are at an all time low so all non-perishable items are needed. People who have never asked for assistance before are now in need. They are also accepting checks made out to either Daily Bread or TEEG. Many times monetary donations go further because they buy in volume quantities. Sincere thanks to everyone who donated!
