Through the efforts of Representative Mike Alberts and the Camp Nahaco Park Commission, a $10,000 grant has been awarded for upgrades to Camp Nahaco.  The grant is from the Office of Policy and Management, State of Connecticut. 

These upgrades to Camp Nahaco are in the areas of fire safety, handicap accessibility, and improved water treatment.   The fire suppression system will be upgraded and a K-class extinguisher, suitable for a large volume kitchen, will be added.    A handicap ramp will be installed on the side entrance of the lodge.  The failing hot water booster on the dishwasher will be replaced with a new one, and additional water pipes and a new water pressure tank will be installed.
