Both a Republican and Democratic Primary will be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Polls will be open from 6am to 8pm. Sample ballots are here for your information. Democratic Primary Ballot and Republican Primary Ballot. The Registrar of Voters webpage has more information about the Primaries.

The Board of Selectmen have set the following new Town Hall Hours and days of operation beginning July 1, 2018:
All Town Offices will be open Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30PM and Wednesdays 8:30AM to 6:00PM.
Fridays, the Office of the First Selectman will be open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Fridays in July & January only, the Office of the Tax Collector will be open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
2018/19 Budget & Purchase of Development Rights Referendum Vote Results: Budget Passes 511 to 171, Purchase of Development Rights of Valleyside Farm Passes 589 to 92. Thank you to all who took the time to vote. We had 675 electors out of 5,417 registered plus 9 property owners. 13% turnout.

Our Solar Brownfield Installation (see photos above) started generating electricity on August 19, 2016! It is projected to save the Town $1.4 million dollars in electric costs over the next 20 years.

Time to renew your dog license at the Office of the Town Clerk! You can use the drop box out front of town hall if you stop by after hours. Beginning July 1st we will be closed on Fridays. Until June 29th there will be no penalty. The late fee beginning August 1st, a $2.00 penalty will be assessed. New dogs should be licensed when they reach 6 months of age and renewal licenses are always purchased in June. Please remember your rabies certificate. The fee is $8.00 if dog is fixed and $19.00 if dog is not fixed.
